Lack of human security and opportunities and other factors such as conflicts, persecution, environmental degradation, and climate change contribute to migration.[1]
Regardless of the reason, migrants are among society’s most vulnerable and marginalised groups. They are frequently abused and exploited and have limited access to essential services such as healthcare.[2]
On this International Migrant Day, governments are urged to ensure the health of all migrants and refugees by establishing a truly inclusive health system.
