Prevent and Eliminate
NCDs Programme

We carry out projects in the areas of safe
awareness campaigns.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) – diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory diseases, kidney diseases, mental ill health etc – are a growing challenge for Nigeria and other countries.

Globally, NCDs are estimated to cause 63 per cents of all deaths (WHO).  80 per cent of this occurs in low and middle income countries.

CHELD’s NCDs programme aims to carry out projects in the areas of safe awareness campaigns, transfats policy advocacy, cancer and the law, and improving school health programmes.
