Migration

CHELD has provided technical expertise on
developing training modules on Migrants
and Refugees Health

CHELD’s work in migration brings the approach of Health for All to migrants’ health. Health is also a cross-cutting issue in the African Union Migration Framework and within the Action Policy for the National Migration Policy in Nigeria.

Our recent migration related research includes a project targeted at improving sustainable rehabilitation and reintegration of Victims of Trafficking (VoTs), and other vulnerable groups in Nigeria.

Researchers working with CHELD have participated in the development of country level and policy and legislation related to health and migration such as the Action Plan for the National Migration Policy in Nigeria, the National Diaspora Policy, etc. Most recently, CHELD has provided technical expertise on developing training modules on Migrants and Refugees Health for SLE contracted by the African Union.
