As part of our ongoing work on migration, Prof. Cheluchi Onyemelukwe moderated a panel session at the National Migration Dialogue in Abuja, where stakeholders from government, civil society, academia, and development partners gathered to launch the Revised National Migration Policy (2025). The dialogue also reinforced the importance of a well-governed migration system in driving Nigeria’s economic growth and social development.
CHELD sincerely appreciates the continued support of our partners the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) along with other valued collaborators whose contributions continue to strengthen migration governance and protect the rights of Nigerians. We look forward to the effective implementation of the policy in alignment with national priorities and relevant regional and global frameworks.
